Vincent "Tito" Solomon Morales, a man whose life was marked by dedication, skill, and quiet strength, passed away peacefully at his home in Chanute, Kansas, on April 22, 2026.
He was born on June 1, 1948, in Chanute, Kansas, to Vicente and Mary Rose (Marquez) Morales. Vincent's journey began in the heart of Kansas, where he would cultivate a rich life filled with family, service, and a deep love for his varied interests.
A proud graduate of Humboldt High School, class of 1966, Vincent furthered his education at Neosho County Community College, demonstrating early on his commitment to lifelong learning.
He was united in marriage to Evelyn Seefeldt on August 24, 1968, in Kansas City, MO. She preceded him in death in July of 2025.
His professional life was as skilled and multifaceted as his personality. Vincent worked as a Welding Inspector for a Boiler Manufacturing Company, a role that spoke to his meticulous nature and hands-on expertise. Beyond his career, he served his community as a reserve Police Officer and embraced leadership and mentorship as a devoted Scout Master.
Known as "Tito," Vincent was a man who embraced life's complexities with a calm, steady presence. He was a master of all trades—a gifted handyman who could fix anything—and a creative individual with a profound artistic talent. His dry sense of humor and reserved demeanor gave way to warmth and vivacity when he was with his family, where he was a loving husband and father. Vincent was the kind of father who inspired his children to strive for excellence, always encouraging them to be the best versions of themselves.
Vincent's passions were many and varied, reflecting a zest for life and the outdoors. He was an avid member of the SEK Buck Busters, ABATE, The Boiler Makers, and the Coon Hunters Association. His hobbies included archery, bow fishing, wood carving, woodworking, motorcycles, playing the harmonica, and bird watching, each a testament to his curiosity and appreciation for nature’s beauty.
Vincent is survived by his cherished children: Sara J. Morales of Havre, Montana; Rachel Hardin of Raeford, North Carolina; Lisa Morales of Durango, Colorado; Faron Morales of Chanute, Kansas; and Olivia Fransico of Thayer, Kansas. He is also survived by his siblings, Chris Morales, Martha Miller, Mary Tinsley, and Abby Berning, as well as three beloved grandchildren who brought him great joy. Vincent was preceded in death by his wife, Evie, his partner in life and love.
