Timothy Joe Barnett

Timothy Joe Barnett, born on September 26, 1976, in Independence, Kansas, passed away on February 4, 2026, in Cherryvale, Kansas at the age of 49.

 He was a self-employed painter who took great pride in his work and was a familiar face in the community.

Timothy was known for his love of hot rods, Harley Davidsons, and dirt bikes. He enjoyed fishing and cherished the time spent with his family. His passions and interests reflected his adventurous spirit and vibrant personality.

He attended Cherryvale schools and carried the memories of his education throughout his life. Timothy will be remembered not just for his skills as a painter but also for the warmth and joy he brought to those around him.

He is survived by his father, Robert (TJ Nixon) Barnett, of Cherryvale, Kansas; his son, Dillon; his siblings, Brandy Barnett of Cherryvale, Kansas, and Larae (Chris) Jirgens of Cherryvale, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Timothy was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Myers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 21, 2026, at Wickham Family Funeral Home in Cherryvale, Kansas. The service will begin at 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM, with a gathering of friends and family to honor his memory. We invite all who knew him to come and share their stories and reminisce about the life he lived.
