Terry Lee Stipp

Terry Lee (Jones) Stipp passed away on September 19, 2026, at age 55. She was born on March 5, 1971, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Judy (Green) Neely.

She was united in marriage to Jerry Stipp on January 23, 1988, at Thayer Christian Church. They were married for 36 years.

Terry will be remembered as a woman with a big heart who cared deeply for others. She worked as a Medical CNA, a role that reflected both her compassion and her strong desire to help people. She was very passionate about her work as a CNA, and that same caring spirit reached into every part of her life.

Family was at the center of Terry’s life. She loved spending time with those she held dear and was especially devoted to her children and grandchildren. She found joy in doing for others, especially her kids and grandkids, and she was known for cooking favorite birthday meals to make their special days even more meaningful. Her love was shown in everyday acts of kindness, generosity, and presence.

Terry also enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life rich and memorable. She loved mushroom hunting, UTV rides, and treasured time with her dog, Yogi. She had a gift for conversation and connection, and she loved talking with people and making new friends. Her warm and open nature meant that she had friends everywhere she went.

She is survived by her sons, Zachery Stipp and Cody (Katie) Stipp; her grandchildren, Zailyn Stipp, Zane Stipp, Willow Stipp, and Tucker Stipp; and her siblings Dennis Jones, Debbie Galagher, Nancy Craft, Jake Jones, Haley Jones, Tracy Jones, and Mark Allen Scott; her father and mother-in-law, John and Sara Essig; and her sisters-in-law, Angel and Rosanna. She also leaves behind many loved ones who will continue to cherish her memory and the love she gave so freely.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Judy (Green) Neely and Jimmy, and Evelyn Jones, her daughter, Heidi Stipp, her sister, Tana Lowe, her brother-in-law John Stipp, and father-in-law Tommy Stipp.

Those who knew Terry will remember her for her kindness, her generous heart, her love of family, and her ability to make friends wherever she went. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched, in the meals and moments she lovingly shared, and in the family gatherings she treasured so deeply.

Memorials are suggested to Thayer Christian Church and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is planned for October 2, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 500 North Forest Ave Chanute, Kansas 66720. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute, Kansas.
