Teresa Ann Stepp, 64, peacefully passed away in her home on Monday, November 9, 2015. She was born July 28, 1951 in Fredonia, Kansas, the daughter of Charles F. "Bud" and Patsy (Bass) Neuenschwander. She was a 1969 graduate of Fredonia High School. Teresa was a homemaker and her favorite "job" was being a mom. On December 17, 1993, in LaPorte, Colorado, Teresa was united in marriage to Jim Stepp. He survives at their home. Teresa was a faithful member of the Buxton Christian Church. She worked tirelessly on the Buxton Church Ladies Salad Suppers and was active in the Impact Youth Center Bible Study. Early on she was a very active single mom, following all of her children"s activities, and most recently a busy Boy Scout mom. In addition to her husband, Jim, Teresa is survived by their son, Sterling Stepp of Fredonia; daughters from a previous marriage, Amy (Gus) Passero of Chadron, NE and Sadie (Matt) Goering of Ft. Collins, CO; grandchildren, Sierra Passero, Kristavia Passero, Kiya Passero, Cassidy Goering and Miles Goering; brothers, Chuck (Janet) Neuenschwander of Fredonia, KS and Mitch (Gina) Neuenschwander of Newton, KS. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, "Joe B." Sims and Christopher Sims. Burial has taken place at Chris" Hill Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Buxton Christian Church with Rev. Gene Benefiel & Rev. Ted Weiland officiating. Memorials have been established in Teresa"s name with the Buxton Christian Church and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and contributions may be sent to Timmons Funeral Home.
