Sherry L. Crone

Sherry L. Crone, 74, of Fredonia, Kansas, passed away, Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at her home.

Sherry was born December 9, 1946 in Bozeman, Montana, to Orvail and Loretta (Gillespie) Bridgewater.

She attended and graduated from Bozeman Sr. High at Bozeman, Montana, in 1965. Sherry attended Montana State University earning a BSE in 1969 and a Master of Arts in 2005 at the University of Memphis.

Sherry was united in marriage to Mackay L. Crone in Paducah, Kentucky. He preceded her in death in 2005.

She worked as a teacher in Bozeman Montana for 5 years and as a business officer for 41 ½ years at the University of Memphis.

She enjoyed knitting, classical music and reading. She was a member of Germantown Symphony at Memphis, Tennessee, Memphis Tennessee Teacher’s Association, Episcopal Church, Memphis All Saints, Grace St. Lukes and Chanute Grace Episcopal.

Sherry is survived by her children; Rene’ Kathrine, Aaron Williams, Cordova, Tennessee, and Amy Lell, Fredonia, Kansas, sister; Melody Skogley, Cascade, Montana, grandchildren; Cora Williams, Liam Lell, and Aliana Lell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mackay and her parents.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Wickham Family Funeral Home. There are no services planned at this time.
