Roy Donald Harman Sr., a dedicated Teamster truck driver, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at his home in Kansas City, Kansas.
He was born on February 9, 1939, in Fredonia, Kansas, the son of Roy D. Harman and Lottie (Robinson) Harman.
On December 6, 1969, in Kansas City, Kansas he was united in marriage to Donna Marie Spencer, and she preceded him in death January 7, 2001. He was later united in marriage to Lois Marie Henry in Fredonia, Kansas and she preceded him in death July 5, 2006
Roy proudly served in the United States Navy for four years and was honorably discharged. Following his military service, he embarked on a career as a Teamster truck driver, a role he excelled in for many years. Roy's hard work and dedication led him to retire in 2000 from ABF Truck Lines in Kansas City.
Roy is survived by his son, Roy D. Harman Jr. (Shery Wheatley) of Chanute, Kansas; two daughters, Donna Diane Harman (Pedro Aparico) and Monica Harman; brother, Mickey Harman (Carol) of Fredonia, Kansas; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one step-grandchild.
Roy is predeceased by his parents, Roy D. Harman and Lottie Mae (Robinson) Harman; wives, Donna and Lois, daughter, Linda Gonzales-Ceja; brothers Jesse Dean Harman and Robert Leon Harman; and sister Debbie Mae McGuire.
Services to honor and celebrate Roy's life will be held on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at Wickham Family Funeral Home in Fredonia. A visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The burial will then be held at Fredonia City Cemetery following the service.
