Robert Dean Grogan

Robert Dean Grogan, 84 of Catoosa, Oklahoma., passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital, in Tulsa Oklahoma.

Robert was born in Chanute, Kansas., on April 25, 1938, to Ira John and Velma (Turner) Grogan. He graduated from Chanute High School in the class of 1956. Following graduation, he went to serve his country with the U.S. Army.

On April 15, 1962, in Satanna, Kansas., he was united in marriage to Bertha Jewel Stapp.

Robert was a logistics manager for the oil and gas industry, enjoyed Cardinals Baseball, and was a member of Central Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Jewel Grogan, of Catoosa; his two children, Pamela Marie (Grogan) Barnett of Hull, Ga., and John Edward Grogan, of Catoosa; his sister, Marie (Grogan) White of Independence, Kansas.; his grandchildren Matthew Scott Barnett, and Meghan Elizabeth (Barnett) Wright; and his great-grandchildren, Ryan Scott Barnett, Robert John Barnett, Katherine Isabel Wright, and Gabrielle Hope Wright.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, Kansas, Thursday, April 13, at 2 p.m., with military honors presented by the Chanute Honor Guard.

Services are under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home, 500 North Forest Ave. in Chanute.
