Robert "Bob" Lee Sweeney, born on April 3, 1938, in Neodesha, Kansas, Fred and Cleo (Linvill) Sweeney passed away on Wednesday October 29, 2025, at Neodesha Care and Rehab, in Neodesha Kansas. 

He lived a life characterized by dedication and service, particularly noted for his work in cabinet shops in Neodesha and Cherryvale.

Bob graduated from Neodesha High School in 1957. He was also a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Neodesha, Kansas.

Bob married Edith Akers on May 6, 2000, in Neodesha, and she passed away June 28, 2025. He is survived by several nieces and nephews including his niece, Janice Bishop of Neodesha, Kansas. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Edith Sweeney, his parents, Fred and Cleo (Linvill) Sweeney, and his siblings, Doris Thomas, Joyce Wolfe, Max Sweeney, and Lois Myers, all of whom have left an indelible mark on his life.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a Celebration of Life Service to be held at the Bible Baptist Church, located at 1100 North 4th, Neodesha, Kansas, on Thursday November 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Bob's legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him, as his kind spirit and craftsmanship will always be remembered by the community he loved so dearly.
