Obituary for Larry K. Mills

Larry K. Mills, 60, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away at 2:30 A.M., Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home.

Larry Kent Mills was born November 19, 1956 in Minneola, Kansas the son of Orval Mills and Thelma (Cross) Mills. He graduated later in life from Cherryvale High School in 2009.

On June 15, 1991 in Garden City, Kansas he was united in marriage to Robin Yardley and she survives at the home.

Larry worked for the City of Garden City, Charloma and in the oil fields. He was a handy man and enjoyed the many jobs he worked until ill health forced him to retire.

He loved to go fishing and was a jack of all trades. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and big heart.

He was a member of the New Hope Christian Church.

Survivors include wife Robin of the home, children, Leslie Mills of Cherryvale, Marcus Mills of Cherryvale, Derrick Yardley of Independence, Kansas, Christina Smith of Nixa, Missouri, Tisha Yardley of Independence, Kansas, siblings, Orval Mills of Oklahoma, Evis Duchart of Ponca City, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Samantha Smith, Lorili Smith, Bella Smith, James Gibbons, Daniel Wilson, Aaron Hall, Nathaniel Yardley, Brayze Cannon, Alister Bruner, Tyler Bruner, great grandchild, Ollie Gibbons and three other great grandchildren, god children, Jessica Gorham, Joshua Garoutte, Jeremiah Garoutte and Larry Garoutte.

Under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas, Cremation has taken place with family receiving friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Logan Park Building in Cherryvale, Kansas.
