Obituary for Benjamin "Ben" V. Bellmore

Benjamin V. Bellmore, 80, of Cherryvale, Kansas died Friday, August 11, 2017 at his home.

Benjamin V. Bellmore was born April 24, 1937 at Henning, Minnesota the son of William Bellmore and Catherine (Neppl) Bellmore. He grew up in Henning and graduated from Henning High School in 1955.

After high school he enlisted with the United States Marine Corp and served many years until being honorably discharged.

He was united in marriage to Waneta F. Bellmore in Long Beach, California and she preceded him in death October 12, 2005.

On October 12, 2013 in Cherryvale he was united in marriage to Lillian Stiles and she survives at the home.

Ben worked as a custodian at Cherryvale USD# 447 for many years.

He attended the Cherryvale United Methodist Church and was elected to the Cherryvale City Council and served many years.

Survivors include his wife Lillian of the home, children, Cheryle Hall of Greenwood, Indiana, Vicky Berry of Pittsburg, Kansas, Christy Spillman of Cherryvale, Kansas, step children, James Hawn of Superior, Wyoming, Dennis Hawn of Dearing, Kansas, Suzanne Morrison of Fredonia, Kansas, Brad Stiles of Fredonia, Kansas, 13 brothers and sisters, grandchildren, Chris Halll, Jeff Hall, Mauri Brewer, Brock Glover, Brian Glover, Brendan Spillman, 6 step grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home of Cherryvale.

Services will be held at a later date.
