Michael Fate Sexton

Michael Fate Sexton, 67, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, at his home with his family and dog, June by his side.

Michael Fate Sexton was born January 21, 1959, in Charleston, South Carolina, the son of Chalma Lee Sexton and Lorranine (Ramey) Sexton.

On February 14, 2009, in Clarksville, Tennessee he was united in marriage to Shirley Forman. They later divorced but the love was never lost, and they stayed together until he passed away.

Michael worked as a tree trimmer for many years in Florida.

He enjoyed watching scary movies and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by Shirley of the home, June his dog, half-sister, Michelle Sexton of Dungannon, Virginia, aunt, Shirley Sinkhorn of New Carlisle, Ohio, cousins, Scot and Timothy Sinkhorn of New Carlisle, Ohio, 5 grandchildren and many other cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael Lee Sexton, sister, Theresa Sexton and brother, Bobby Sexton.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 6:30 P.M., Friday, June 26, 2026, at Bible Holiness Church, Cherryvale, Kansas.

Memorial remembrances are suggested to the family and may be mailed or left at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335.
