Mary Anne Waggoner, 73, a resident of rural Altoona, Kansas, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at Via Christi St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She was born April 18, 1933 near Altoona, the daughter of Guy and Estella (Lewellen) Dannels. She was a homemaker. On December 24, 1956 in Miami, Oklahoma, she married J.D. Waggoner. He preceded her in death July 13, 2001. She was a member of the High Prairie United Methodist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Neodesha, Kansas. She also enjoyed bowling. Her Survivors include: Three Sons: Doug Waggoner of Edmond, OK Dick Waggoner of Oklahoma City, OK Dave Waggoner of Dodge City, KS Two Daughters: Kay Burris of Maiden, NC Darla Marple of Altoona, KS Two Brothers: Richard Dannels of Kansas City, MO Jerry Dannels of Toronto, KS One Sister: Bonnie Jepson of Iola, KS 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Rick Smith. Funeral services will be held at 1:30P.M. on Monday, February 12, 2007 at the High Prairie United Methodist Church with Rev. Cheryl and Donald Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Altoona Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Memorials have been established in her name with the High Prairie United Methodist Church and the St. Joseph Inn and may be sent to the funeral home.
