Lois Nadine Sell

Lois Nadine (Murphy) Sell, 94, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 with her family at her side. She was born August 9, 1920 in Buffalo, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer and Ida (Puckett) Murphy. Lois formerly worked at St. Margaret"s Mercy Hospital in Fredonia. On June 30, 1940 in Fredonia, Lois was united in marriage to Melvin Sell. Lois and Melvin eventually moved to Wichita to be near family. Melvin, her husband of 56 years, preceded her in death July 26, 1996. Lois was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Wichita and the Sunshine Circle Club in Buffalo. Lois" survivors include: Daughters: Karen (John) Grant of Wichita, KS Melvina (Wilken) Hecox of Wichita, KS Sisters: Thursa (Junior) Braman of Chanute, KS Juanita May of Owasso, OK 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren Her parents; daughters, Sharon Kaye Sell and Virginia Linscott; and brother, Earl Lewis Stevens also preceded her in death. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Fredonia City Cemetery with Rev. Gene Benefiel of the Buxton Christian Church officiating. A visitation has been scheduled prior to the graveside on Monday morning, 9:30 A.M.-10:30 A.M. at Timmons Funeral Home. Words of condolence may be left on this website.
