Lois Bernell Brown

Lois Bernell Brown, 73, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas since 1987, formerly of Elsinore, California, died Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Golden Keys Nursing Home in Neodesha, Kansas. She was born July 18, 1933 in Duluth, Minnesota, the daughter of John Eric and Enge Nelle (Corser) Engstrom. She served as a Private First Class in the Army W.A.C.S. September 1951 to September 1953. On September 10, 1965 in Carson, Nevada, she married Robert E. Brown. He preceded her in death July 23, 2003. She was a member of the Altoona Christian Church. Her hobbies included reading and socializing. Her Survivors include: One son: Eric Brown of Murrieta, California Her friend and caregiver: Kathy Busch of Fredonia, Kansas Two grandchildren: Brandon and Taylor Brown She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister. Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held at the Fredonia City Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name with the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and may be sent to the funeral home.
