Jeanette Thompson

Jeanette Marie (Johnson) Thompson, a resident of Fredonia, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019 at home.
She was born Aug. 4, 1948, to Amos and Wilmetta (Cunningham) Johnson in Neodesha. She graduated from Fredonia High School in 1966 and then from Pittsburg State Teachers College. She had a career in banking and later completed pharmacy training to work at Porters Pharmacy in Neodesha.
On Nov. 26, 2011, she married McCager Thompson, and he survives at their home.
Survivors include three children from a previous marriage, Mike (Lori) Lorentz of California, Michele Daughhette of California, and Matthew (Crystal) Lorentz of Hayesville, Ks.; three grandchildren, Parker, Mary, and Matthew; three sisters, Sue Anne (Don) Barker, Becky (Terry) Lyons, and Amy (Jayme) Bunyard.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Cornerstone Christian Church, 1005 Golf Course Rd., Fredonia. Memorial donations may be made to the Fredonia Public Library.
