James Larry Etheridge

James Larry Etheridge, 70, of Toronto, Kansas passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, Kansas.

James Larry Etheridge was born June 28, 1947 in Morrilton, Arkansas the son of James Herby Etheridge and Thelma Faye (Hill) Etheridge. He grew up and graduated from West High School, Wichita, Kansas in 1966.

On March 5, 1966 in Wichita, Kansas he was united in marriage to Donna Cook and she survives at the home.

Larry worked as a machinist for 32 years at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas retiring in 2003.

He was an avid fan of Kansas Jayhawk basketball. He loved the lake especially, Toronto Lake. While being on the lake he enjoyed boating and watching drag boats. He was also good working with his hands building items.

Survivors include son Michael Etheridge of Toronto, Kansas, daughter, Kathy Etheridge of Wamego, Kansas, brother, Robert Steven Etheridge of Wichita, Kansas, two grandchildren, Kim Shaw of Wamego, Kansas, Ryan Etheridge of Wichita, Kansas, 5 great grandchildren, Nathan Shaw, Tyler Shaw, Matthew Shaw, Kaleigh and Jacob Etheridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry Lynn Etheridge.

Celebration of Life Services and Dinner will be held 3:00 P.M., Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Cowboy Church and the Arena of Life, 781 Highway 105, Toronto, Kansas.

Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home of Fredonia.
