Georgia Maxine LuPardus,81, of Independence, Kansas, died Sunday, June 20,2021 at Medical Lodge in Independence, Kansas.
She was born April 20,1940, to Max and Georgia Bullock, at her grandparents’ home in Milo, Missouri. She grew up in Nevada, Missouri and graduated from Nevada High School. Maxine attended business school in Nebraska.
Maxine married Loren Fox May 22,1960 at Pine Street Baptist Church in Nevada, Missouri. They were divorced. Later she married Bill LuPardus November 23,1966 at her parents home in Nevada, Mo.
Maxine worked for the Jasper County Sheriff’s office and at the Missouri Southern State College extension for home economics. Maxine worked for the Jasper County assessor’s office and the State of Kansas Tax Reassessment. Later in life, she worked in home health care.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Georgia Bullock, and an infant son, Ricky Dean Fox.
She is survived by three children, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren: Steven Fox and wife, Sherrie of Nevada, MO. Three children Melissa Carter, Megan Fox, and Layton Fox. great grandchildren: Brynn Fox-Carter, Serenity Carter, Jacob Carter, Isabella Carter. Michelle Michels and husband, Joe, of Yelm, WA. William Cato, Sierra and Cody Avila, Bailey and Morgan Michels and great grandchild Xavier Howard. Charles LuPardus and wife, Stacie, of Independence, KS. Three children Lonnie, Ty, and Logan LuPardus. Maxine is also survived by a brother, Gene Bullock and wife, Patty of Richmond, MO. and a sister, Frances Fuerst, of Battlefield, MO. and four nieces and one nephew: Sandy Stansberry and husband, Jerry, of Lamar, Mo. Gina Reed and husband, Larry, of Lamar, Mo. Angela Zinicola of Kansas City, Renee Monroe and husband, Jordan, of Stone Ridge, VA. Max Bullock, Jr. and wife, Kim, of Dallas, TX.
Maxine enjoyed cooking and playing pinochle and gin rummy. Her dog, Snuggles, was her loving companion.
In high school, Maxine spent a lot of time with Martha Duncan and Mary Lou Lolley. Consequently, they referred to themselves as " The M&M's.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 2, 2021, at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday July 2, 2021, at Newton Burial Park, 311 W. Highland Avenue, Nevada, Missouri 64772.
