Edith Diane Dixon, 60, of Chanute, KS., passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, in Chanute KS.


Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be Wednesday November 16, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at the Healing Center Church of God 1390 W. 35th PKWY. Chanute, KS.


Diane was born August 7, 1962, to Thomas Eugene Evans and Leona Lee (Boan) Hansen of rural Chanute. Diane was married and later divorced from Leon Dixon. She worked as an over the road truck driver, and later for Kaw Valley Center as a Transportation Coordinator until she became disabled.


She loved crocheting, fishing, camping, going to watch her nephew race, reading her Bible, listening to music, attending church, watching her nieces dance and play sports and family outings. Family and friends were the most important thing to her, and she loved being an aunt to everyone. Her love and sweetness will always be remembered. She loved children and pets dearly.


Diane is survived by her mother; Leona Lee (Boan) Hansen of Chanute, her brother; Duane (Penny) Evans of Basehor, her sisters; Doris (Ed) Hart of Chanute, and Andrea (Jeff Ford) of Lindsborg, nephew Andy (Jolene) Evans, of Kansas City, niece Brandy (Scott) Wilson, of Topeka, Leann Dupuy (Chris White), Donald McIntosh, Michelle McIntosh, Nautica Hart, (Loren Trif) all of Chanute. Great nieces; Kayla Wilson, Linzie Dupuy, Kalani Dupuy, Adalay Evans, Leela Evans, Remingtyn, Dillynn and Hunter McIntosh, and Waylon Hart.


She is preceded in death by her grandparents; Thomas Lee and Edith Evans, Ray Boan, and Charles and Laverne Miller, her father Thomas Eugene Evans, her bonus mom, Sherry Ann Evans, and a great niece Jazsmin and great nephews; Leoe, and Konner Hart. All await her in Heaven.


Following the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm, burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute, KS.

Services are under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home 500 North Forest Ave. Chanute, KS. 66720.
