Donna Mae Woods

Donna Mae Woods, age 83, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

She was born on April 23, 1940, in McAllister, Oklahoma, to Donald F. Davis and Delia (Mendenhall) Davis.

Donna attended Cherryvale High School, graduating in 1958. She had a fulfilling career, working for Prestige Cabinet Company in Neodesha, Kansas, for 26 years. She then spent 15 years at Casey's convenient store in Neodesha and an additional year in Cherryvale.

On February 12, 1971, in Independence, Kansas she was united in marriage to Arthur W. Woods and he preceded her in death May 3, 2008.

Donna found solace and community in her places of worship. She attended the Southern Baptist Church in Neodesha and the Nazarene Church, Bible Holiness and The Hub in Cherryvale.

In her free time, Donna indulged in her passions and hobbies. She loved tending to flowers. Donna also enjoyed visiting fish aquariums and cherished her beloved cat of 14 years.

Donna will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her sons, James W. Hopkins of Independence, Kansas, and Timothy J. Hopkins of Chanute, Kansas, her daughter, Betty Jean Singhurst of Independence, Kansas, her foster daughter, Starlet Kimberlin of Chanute, Kansas, her sister, Alene Smith of Cherryvale, Kansas, as well as her 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 8, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335.

Services for Donna Mae Woods will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 9, 2023 at The Hub in Cherryvale, Kansas.
