Darrell Lee Hand

Darrell Lee Hand, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, departed from this world on April 14, 2024. He was born on September 6, 1946, in Seiling, OK, to Leroy and Lorene (Schlarb) Hand.
 
 Darrell graduated from Stark, Kansas high school in 1964. He was united in marriage to Pat Huffman (1966), she preceded him in death. Later, he was united in marriage to Sandy McDaniel on November 24, 2000. Darrell led a fulfilling career as an Electrician for Ash Grove Cement Plant. Known for his ornery yet funny personality, Darrell was a strong individual who cherished his family with

all his heart and soul.
 
 Throughout his life, Darrell pursued various hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He had a passion for playing the guitar and appreciated music of all kinds. Additionally, he found pleasure in making wine, achieved a black belt in Martial Arts, enjoyed attending blues festivals, loved growing a variety of things in the garden, and relished cooking over an outside fire. Darrell also found solace in activities like running, riding his bike, fishing, duck hunting, and sailing. Above all, he took immense pride in crafting things for his children and grandchildren and attending all their activities. 
 
 Darrell shared a beautiful bond with his wife Sandy Hand. Together, they embarked on weekend excursions and savored country cruising while finding peace in life's simple pleasures.
 
 Darrell will be deeply missed by his surviving family members and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Sandy Hand; Children: Shonda (Joe) Almond of Chanute, KS., Molly (Luke) Keenan of Shawnee, KS., Amanda (Tyson) Reimer of Farmington, AR., Anthony (Serena) Keenan of Olathe, KS., Matthew Keenan of Detroit, MI; Sherri Hand (Andy) of Chanute, KS., Grandchildren: Clete Mussulman (Natalie), Chase Mussulman (Ravyn), Tori Mussulman (Kane), Tessa Olson (Derek), Kylie Hand, Slade Costin, Ryland Reimer, Riley Reimer, Henry Keenan-Hagedorn, Brooksley Hagedorn, and Delilah Hagedorn. Great-grandchildren: Payton, CJ, Paige, Emma, Avery, Jace, Braelyn, Cohen, Jaxton, Jerik, Jaylee, Ayva, Autumn, Chastin, Amira, Loyal; Father and mother-in-law: Wayne and Suzanne McDaniel; Brother and sisters-in-law: Walt Ackridge, Tony (Pat) Williams, Dennis (Brenda) Baker, Randy (Patty) McDaniel, Sandy Hand, and a niece: Dawne (Jon) Burchett.
 
 In addition to his parents Leroy and Lorene Hand who have gone before him in passing are his brothers; Gary, Wayne, and Ron Hand, his son Chad, his wife Pat, and his nephew Justin.
 
 Darrell's warm presence will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved immensely during his time on Earth.
