Carolyn Jackson

Carolyn Jackson, 81, passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Wednesday December 17, 2025. While we mourn her loss, we find profound comfort in knowing that her mind and body are once again at peace following a long and painful battle with Parkinson’s disease and dementia.

Carolyn was born in Independence, Kansas to Glen and Eva Jackson. She remained close to her siblings throughout her life.

Carolyn was an amazing seamstress and took great pride in the clothing and projects she made for friends and family. Carolyn was an enthusiastic cheerleader for her children when they were young, sitting at swim meets all day in the heat with snacks for any hungry swimmer that asked. Carolyn was also the best at making red velvet cake from scratch. In her later years she loved to color.

Carolyn is survived by her children Steve and Sabrina; four grandchildren Josh, Jake, Katie, and Chris; two great grandchildren, Aria and Ike; and her sisters Shirley, Retha, and Thelma. She was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Eva, her brothers Albert, Carl, and Paul and her sisters Velma, Loretta, and Lorene.

A celebration of life will be held at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 N. 7th Street in Fredonia, Kansas 66736, on Saturday April 18th, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
