Brenda(Scantlin)Lafferty

Brenda (Scantlin) Lafferty, 76, of Humboldt, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Arrowwood Lane in Humboldt, Kansas, with her family present. She was born on October 15, 1949, in Iola, Kansas, to Donald Wayne and Velma Cleo (Ashley) Scantlin.

Brenda graduated from high school in Raytown, Missouri, in 1967. She devoted several years of her professional life to Bridgeview Custom Cabinets, where she contributed her talents before retiring.

She was a beloved mother, surviving through her son, Gregg Lafferty of Chanute, Kansas, and her daughter, Roxanne Scheimann of Richland, Pennsylvania. Brenda’s siblings are Janice Elder and Dave Scantlin of Humboldt, Kansas, and Donna Vohs of Olathe, Kansas. She also took great joy in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will continue to carry her memory forward.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, whose passing marked significant chapters in her life story.

In honoring Brenda, memorials are suggested to the Humboldt Dog Park and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.

Cremation has taken place with no services planned at this time.
