Blake Dean Brock, 25, lifelong resident of Fredonia and Fall River, Kansas, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 25, 1990 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Kaila Shinkle. Blake was a graduate of Fredonia High School and had attended Pittsburg State University. He was currently employed by Cross B Chows in Fall River. Blake spent many years helping his grandmother with her show dogs, caring for, grooming and handling dogs at shows across the United States. He enjoyed his time with family and friends and loved to go fishing. His survivors include: Mother: Kaila Shinkle and her companion, Greg Houser of Fredonia, KS Father: Rick Brock of Fredonia, KS Stepbrother: Isaac Houser of Fredonia, KS Grandparents: Janet Burke of Fall River, KS Fred & Rebeccah Brock of Veedersburg, IN He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Pat Burke. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Timmons Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Benefiel of the Buxton Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Weakley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in Blake"s name with the Fall River Booster Club, and donations can be sent to or left at the funeral home.
