Beverly Vernice Ehrenberger

Beverly Vernice (Wood) Ehrenberger was born on May 1, 1954, in Kimball, Nebraska, and passed away on Tuesday July 28, 2026, at Wesley Medical Center. 

Beverly was a 1972 graduate of Cheney High School. She embarked on a varied and accomplished professional journey, working at the Post Office in Wichita, lending her skills to the Pizza Hut Corporate Office in Wichita, and spending time in construction alongside her father. 

Beverly was united in marriage to Daryl Vickery in 1973, in Eureka Kansas, they later divorced.

Family always held a special place in Beverly’s heart. She is survived by her beloved son and daughter in law, Travis (Stacy) Vickery; and siblings, Donna Maxwell, Danny (Susan) Wood, David Wood and Derek (Candee) Wood. Her memory continues to be cherished by her grandchildren, Shelby Stover, Brennan Vickery, and Gavin Vickery, as well as their spouses, Trinity Mullen, Alairia Vickery, and Grace Vickery. Beverly’s legacy extends to her great-grandchildren: Elias, Junior, Arik, Tennessee, Finlay, Rosalind, Nehemiah, and Naomi. 

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Betty (Yates) Wood, and her dear sister Glena Patry. 

Known for her adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors, Beverly found great joy in fishing, especially for catfish. Some of her happiest moments were those spent by the water, rod in hand, enjoying the peacefulness of nature and the thrill of the catch. More than anything, Beverly treasured her time with family—her son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She made every gathering special, ensuring that laughter and love filled every room she entered. 

Beverly leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion to those she loved. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory lovingly carried on by her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Life Service honoring Beverly will take place at the Buxton Christian Church, 3254 500 Road, Fredonia Kansas 66736, on Saturday August 8, 2026, at 10:00 am.
