Barbara Ann Lile

Barbara Ann (Dye) Lile, 83 of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away Friday, January 31, 2020.

Barbara was born January 23, 1937 to Joseph Isaac and Minnie Belle (Tannahill) Dye in Chautauqua County, Kansas. She attended Sedan High School. Barbara also attended School of Nursing in Wichita, Kansas, Insurance Institute of America, Melvern, Pennsylvania and College of St. Francis, Jolliet, Illinois.

On December 21, 1962, Barbara was united in marriage to Bill L. Lile in Pratt, Kansas. He survives at the home.

Barbara was a nurse at various hospitals from 1958 until 1998. She also worked at St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company until 1986. Barbara worked at Focus Staffing Deluxe Dry Cleaners in Cheyenne, Wyoming until 2000. Barbara was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, Association of Operating RN Nurses and multiple nursing organizations throughout her career.

Survivors include, her husband, Bill; sister, Minnie Jo Northedge and her husband Kenneth of Eureka, Kansas; children of the heart, Janet (Mike) Gleb, Sam Hopkins; 6 grandchildren of the heart, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Betty Wickham-Tate, Clara Belle Wallace, Mary Ellen Alford, Blossom Weaver, brothers, Virgil Dye, Russell Dye and Delbert Dye.

Celebration of Life services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Fredonia City Cemetery, Fredonia, Kansas.
