Virginia Lee Dunn, 64, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born January 23, 1942 in Elwood, Nebraska, the daughter of James W. and Vera (Roedl) Frisbie. She was a graduate of North High School in Wichita, Kansas. She was employed as a registered nurse at Beverly Health and Rehab in Fredonia for several years. On May 14, 1993 in Miami, Oklahoma, she married Donald Dunn. He preceded her in death April 13, 2006. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Fredonia and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Her hobbies included fishing, camping, knitting, and golfing. Her Survivors include: Her mother: Vera Frisbie of Fredonia, KS Two daughters & spouses: Patty and Tony Easter of Haughton, LA Beth & Brad Zweifel of Western Kansas Three step-daughters & spouses: Ann & Greg Fitzmorris of Fredonia, KS Bobbie & Ken Burris of Derby, KS Suzie & Gary Peters of Shaw, KS Three step-sons & spouses: Jim & Lori Dunn of Macon, IL Don Jr. & Jill Dunn of Sycamore, KS Steve & Sandra Dunn of Fredonia, KS One sister: Barbara McCoy of Fredonia, KS 18 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and Gomer, her dog. She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Jim McCoy; and one brother, James W. Frisbie. A rosary will be said at 9:30 A.M. followed by funeral mass at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at the Sacred Heart Church with Father Stephen Baxter officiating. Visitation will be held at the church between 9:00 A.M.-9:30 A.M., prior to the rosary. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name with the Fredonia V.F.W. and may be sent to the funeral home.
