Viola Hawn

Viola Hawn, 89, a resident of Fall River, Kansas, died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born April 4, 1916 in Fall River, the daughter of Edgar and Zella (Johnson) Earl. She was a homemaker and also taught school in Fall River and worked as a telephone operator in earlier years. On April 7, 1948 in Fredonia, she married Dale Clynton Hawn. He preceded her in death January 28, 2005. She was a member of the Fall River Christian Church and the Christian Women"s Fellowship. Her Survivors include: One Daughter: Dian Routh of Maize, KS; One Son: Gerald Hawn of Fall River, KS; One Brother:Everett Earl of Crete, NE; Two Sisters: Zella Mae Branson of Tonkawa, OK; June Branson of Carbondale, KS; Four Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00P.M. on Friday, April 7, 2006 at the Fall River Christian Church with Rev. Gene Benefiel officiating. Burial will be in the Fredonia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, 6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. A memorial has been established in her name with the Fall River Christian Church and may be sent to the funeral home.
