Roy Lee Thomas

Roy Lee Thomas, 89, of Fredonia, Kansas passed away, Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Roy was born July 12, 1933, in Fredonia, Kansas to Lee and Emma (Blakley) Thomas. Roy attended and graduated from Fredonia High School. He married Rose Thomas and she preceded him in death.

Roy served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.

Roy worked in construction and helped develop infrastructure for housing additions in Idaho and Washington. Roy was a skilled carpenter.

He enjoyed following the stock and commodities markets and was a member of the Labors Union.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

He is survived by sister, Lorna Caniglia of Omaha, Nebraska, brother, Rex Thomas of Fredonia, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Roy has bequeathed his body to the University of Kansas School of Medicine. There will be a private service at a later date under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
