Patricia "Pat" K. Cook

Patricia Kay “Pat” Cook, 64, a resident of Fredonia, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 at her home.

Pat was born on October 8, 1954 in Fort Scott, Kansas. She was the daughter of William Archie Simhiser and Violet Geneva (Barton) Simhiser. She graduated from Uniontown High School in 1971.

On April 1, 1972, Pat was united in marriage to James Robert (J.R.) Cook in Hiatville, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2002.

Pat was a homemaker and worked at Automotive Control Corporation for a short time.

Pat enjoyed bowling, volunteering for the Auxiliary of Mercy, gardening, family, watching Nascar races and traveling. Pat was a determined lady and nothing could slow her down.

Survivors include her children, Christi and husband (Buddy) Drake of Chanute, Kansas, Jamie and husband (Bradley) Harris of Fredonia, Kansa; brother Larry Simhiser of St. Joseph, Missouri. Six grandchildren, Savana Ludlum, Ian Drake, Kara Drake, Kasandra Harris, Bradley Harris and J.R. Harris and one great grandchild, Spencer Ludlum.

Celebration of Life services will be 1:30 p.m., September 13, 2019 at Wickham Family Funeral Home 510 N. 7th Fredonia, Kansas 66736. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.
