Nancy C. Matlick

Nancy Carol Matlick, 77, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas died Sunday April 13, 2014 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born November 24, 1936 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of Loyel and Maude (Vertrees) Hawkins.

On May 1,1954, Nancy was united in marriage to Maurice Matlick. He survives at their home.

Nancy enjoyed being a homemaker. She also enjoyed her involvement in the Womens Mutual Benefit Club.

Renee and Rick Burns of Augusta, KS
Lori and John Mann of Craig, CO
Son: Mitch and Karen Matlick of Wichita, KS
Brother: John Hawkins of Ethel, MO
9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
Her parents, Loyel and Maude Hawkins; two sisters Anna Mae Bergman and Dorothy Rummerfield; and one brother Paul Hawkins preceeded her in death
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Buffalo Cemetery with Pastor Claude Shue officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9am-5pm Thursday to sign the register book. A memorial has been established in Nancys name with the American Cancer Association and contributions can be sent to or left with Timmons Funeral Home.
