MICHAEL F. THOMAS Michael F. Thomas, 64, of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. According to his wishes Cremation will take place with Memorial Services being held 5:00 P.M., Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Fredonia High School Auditorium. Michael F. Thomas was born April 12, 1952 in Canyon City, Colorado the son of William Thomas and YaVonna (Glover) Thomas. Michael worked for Unified School District #484 as the Grounds Maintenance Extraordinaire as he called it for 23 years. He lived in the Fredonia, Kansas area most of his life. Survivors include, daughter, Andrea Holtzman of Pittsburg, Kansas, son, Bryant Thomas of Fredonia, Kansas, father, William Thomas of Pueblo, Colorado, brothers, William Thomas and Elbert "Pinky" Thomas both of Pueblo, Colorado, grandchildren, Preston McConnell, Halli Lewis, Payton Thomas, Daeshia Turner, Myla Turner, Faith Turner and Aisley Holtzman. He was preceded in death by his mother, YaVonna in 2004. Services are under the guidance of Timmons Funeral Home of Fredonia.
