Mary Luella Brunker

Mary Luella Brunker, 90, a longtime resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born September 18, 1921 in Arno, Missouri, the daughter of Andrew Carroll and Luella Bell (Staley) Harrow. Mary retired in 2004 from Kansas Bank Note, where she personalized checks. In 1961 in Fredonia, Mary was married to Wendell H. Brunke. He preceded her in death May 3, 1996. She was a member of the First Christian Church, volunteered at the Christian Thrift Store, and enjoyed activities at Parkview and the Fredonia Senior Center. Her survivors include: One daughter: Carol Brunker of Springfield, MO One son: Emmett Brunker, Rixieville, VA Two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren Her parents, husband, Wendell, four sisters and three brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Timmons Funeral Home with Pastor Milo Steffen of the First Christian Church officiating.
