Mary Ann Delaney

Mary Ann Delaney, 80, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born March 24, 1929 in New Albany, Kansas, the daughter of George A. and Hazel (Cooley) Young. She was a homemaker and farm wife. Mary was married to Damon Delaney. Together they operated Delaney"s Truck Produce, where they were famous for their strawberries. Damon preceded her in death June 13, 1991. She is survived by: One brother: George Young of Olpe, Kansas Two sisters: Genevieve Zier of Seattle, Washington Florence Brown of Wichita, Kansas She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sheila Delaney; three brothers, Keith, Elmer Young and David Young. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Timmons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Ed Myers officiating. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Wednesday, 1:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. where the family will receive friends 5:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M.
