Marilyn I. Streets, 78 of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at Neodesha Health and Rehab in Neodesha, Kansas.
Marilyn I. Streets was born February 14, 1941 in rural Quinter, Kansas, the daughter of F.C. Miller and Hazel (Benson) Miller. She graduated from Oakley High School in 1959 and attended Kansas State University for 2 years studying Home Economics.
On August 28, 1960 at Scott City, Kansas, she was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Streets and he survives at the home.
She was a homemaker. She had worked as a receptionist at a doctor’s office and part time secretary for the Fredonia First United Methodist Church.
Marilyn enjoyed reading and studying the bible. She will be remembered for caring for her family and her community service.
She was a member of the Fredonia First United Methodist Church, P.E.O., First United Methodist Foundation, Couples Investment Club, Women’s Investment Club, Cub Scout Den Mother, Youth Friends and Jail Ministry.
Survivors include her husband Kenny of the home, sons, Bradley K. Streets and his wife Laurie of Topeka, Kansas, Jeffrey L. Streets and Kira of Cypress, Texas, brothers Roy Miller of Russell, Kansas, Tom Miller and his wife Elouise of Topeka, Kansas, grandchildren, Afton Ratzlaff and her husband Brandon, Garrett Streets, Colin Streets, Adam Streets, Kendall Danielle Streets, great grandchildren, Lakyn Ratzlaff, Rilyn Ratzlaff and Decker Ratzlaff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Marvin K. Miller, Larry J. Miller, Max B. Miller and sister, Donna May Miller.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Fredonia First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
Private family burial will take place at Altoona Cemetery.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Fredonia First United Methodist Church or the Fredonia Education Foundation.
