Loma Lorene (Fateley) Hayden, 88, formerly of Cherryvale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Roseville, California.She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Hayden, parents Clarence and Frieda Fateley, her brother, Clarence "Bud" Fateley Jr., and sister-in-law Shirley Fateley.She is survived by her daughter and son in law Delight and Don Nelms of Rocklin, California, son and daughter in law Stan and Carol Hayden of Cherryvale, Kansas, a brother and sister in law Richard and Mary Ann Fateley of Chanute, Kansas, and a sister in law Mildred Humphrey of Fredonia, Kansas, three granddaughters and eight great grandchildren.Loma grew up in rural Southeast Kansas and taught school briefly during World War II. She loved her family and was devoted to her faith in God and was a member of the Assembly of God Church since the early 50"s. She faithfully taught Sunday School, Bible School, played the piano and worked in the church office. She moved to Rocklin, California in 2009 to live with her daughter. She will be missed by all those whose lives touched hers.Celebration of Life memorial services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Cherryvale Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jeff Owen, officiating. She will be interred at Fredonia City Cemetery beside her husband.The family has suggested memorial remembrances to the Cherryvale Assembly of God Church and they may be left or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th Street, Cherryvale, Kansas.
