Lillian L. Porter

Lillian L. Porter, 81, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at The Golden Living Center in Fredonia. She was born February 3, 1930, in Fredonia, Kansas, the daughter of Armer and Sybil (Short) Porter. She was a 1948 graduate of Fredonia High School and received her Bachelor Degree from Antioch College. She was employed by IBM her entire working life and retired back home to Fredonia in 1990. Her Survivors include: Two nieces: Darcy Parker of Hollywood, FL Kathleen Porter of Littleton, CO One nephew: Craig Porter of Pasadena, CA One great-niece: DeArcy Campbell Vaughan of Ft. McCoy, FL One great-great nephew: Alyn Vaughan of Ft. McCoy, FL She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Porter, and one sister Margaret Porter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Timmons Funeral Home with the Rev. Milo Steffen of the First Christian Church in Fredonia officiating. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Thursday, 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. A memorial has been established in her name with the Avenue of Flags and may be sent to the funeral home.
