Katherine J. Phillips

Katherine J. Phillips, 100, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Katherine J. Phillips was born October 6, 1917 in Cherryvale, Kansas daughter of William Friley and Dora (Brougater) Friley.

Katherine enjoyed stitching, knitting and quilting. She also enjoyed bowling and reading. She loved her children and grandchildren. Katherine was a quiet private person. She worked in several places during her life including Lee’s Manufacturing, Model Cleaners, bookkeeper for Cherry Construction, and was a hair dresser.

Survivors include son Ray Allison of Cherryvale, Kansas son Paul Allison of Eureka California. Three grandchildren, Jeff Allison of rural Neodesha, Kansas, Levis Allison of Shanghai, China, Kate Allison of Pittsburg, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by grandson Steven Allison, brother, Paul Friley, sisters Grace Coffman and Wilma Dodson.

Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M., Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335.
