Karen G. Myers

Karen G. Myers, 76, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Saturday morning at Montgomery Place in Independence, Kansas.

Karen Gene Myers was born August 9, 1942 in Cherryvale, Kansas the daughter of Cecil Morris and Rebecca (Henderson) Morris. She grew up in Cherryvale and graduated from Cherryvale High School.

She worked at Dr. Eastep’ s dentist office in Cherryvale. She later worked at the Montgomery County Treasurer’s office in Independence retiring in 2004.

Karen enjoyed reading and loved her cats. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Survivors include her granddaughters, Samantha Brown and Cassandra Brown-Perry both of Independence, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Melissa J. Brown and son, Timothy A. Myers.

Celebration of Karen's Life will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M., Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas.

Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Cherryvale Public Library and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
