JULIE JEANANN KIISTERJulie J. Kiister, 53, of Cherryvale, KS passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at her home with her family at her side.Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Cherryvale United Methodist Church with Bill Booe, officiating." Interment will held at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.Friends may sign the register book from 12Noon until 6:00 P.M. Sunday with family receiving friends from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Wickham Family Funeral Home of Cherryvale.Memorial remembrances are suggested to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or Cherryvale United Methodist Church and they may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.Julie Jeanann Kiister was born September 17, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of Earl Huffman and Virginia (Ivie) Huffman." She grew up in Yates Center, Kansas and graduated from Yates Center High School in 1979." She also attended Fort Scott Community College and Independence Community College.On December 2, 1983 in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Ron Kiister and he survives at the home.Julie worked as the church secretary at the Cherryvale United Methodist Church." She also worked as a Speech Paraprofessional at Lincoln Central Elementary in Cherryvale for 9 " years." Her most recent employment was as a Pre-School Teacher for 12 years at the Cherryvale United Methodist Church until her ill health forced her to retire.She loved crafting, painting and spending time with friends and family outside on her front porch visiting." She loved having a good time and treasured teaching her preschool kids.Survivors include husband Ron of the home, two sons, Cody Kiister and fianc" Jaia Hucke of Cherryvale, Kyle Kiister and girlfriend Emily Kuhel of Arma, Kansas, mother, Virginia Huffman of Independence, Kansas, sister, Patricia Lewis of Independence, Kansas, brother, Keith Huffman of Carthage, Missouri and one grandson, Jayden Kiister of Cherryvale.
