John A. Mcginnes

John A. McGinnes, 73, of Dearing, Kansas passed away at Windsor Place in Coffeyville.

John Arthur McGinnes was born February 6, 1944 in Fredonia, Kansas the son of Edgar McGinnes and Marie (Ferguson) McGinnes. He grew up and attended schools in Fredonia and Garfield, Kansas.

He was united in marriage to Connie Turner and they were later divorced.

He was united in marriage to Debbie Galemore and they later divorced.

John was self employed and was a truck driver. He also was involved with the rodeo and rode bulls, bare bronc rider and rodeo clown. He was an assistant trainer at Delmar Race Track and worked at Warner Brothers in California.

John enjoyed horse racing, rodeos, playing cards and dominoes.

He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Cherryvale and Eagles Club in Coffeyville.

Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Darryl McGinnes and grandson, Jeremiah McGinnes.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 N. 7th, Fredonia, Kansas, Thursday, January 18, 2018. Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, January 19, 2018 at Wickham Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fredonia City Cemetery.

Memorial remembrances are suggested to Kindred Hospice and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
