Joann Mcfarland

Joann McFarland, 84, a resident of Fall River Lake, Kansas and Arab, Alabama and formerly of Wichita, Kansas, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, Kansas. She was born October 7, 1921 in Thayer, Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Lura (Holestine) Kirk. She was a homemaker. On August 7, 1938 in Independence, Kansas, she married Paul McFarland. He survives at their home. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to her husband, Paul, include: Two Sons, Bill McFarland of Pittsburg, TX; Randy McFarland of Augusta, KS One Daughter, Paula Joslin of Arab, AL One Sister, Jeannie Traband of Ft. Lauderdale, FL Six Grandchildren, Lynda Tyler of Wichita, KS; Lori Justice of Huntsville, AL; Craig Joslin of Hoschton, GA; Brandi Jones of Joplin, MO; Sara Smith of Towanda, KS; Molly Sanchez of Andover, KS; Nine Great Grandchildren; and Four Step Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Herbert Kirk and Matthew Alford; and one sister, Dollie Harold. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Timmons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Altoona Cemetery, Altoona, Kansas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. A memorial has been established in her name with the B-Team Angels Ministry and may be sent to the funeral home.
