Jerry R. Ludlum, 70, of Chanute, KS., passed away Tuesday February 15, 2022, at Saint Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.
Jerry was born to Harvey and Ethel (McAnulty) Ludlum, June 21, 1951, in Chanute, KS. He graduated from Humboldt High School in 1969. Jerry was a Vietnam veteran proudly serving his country in the United States Army.
He was united in marriage to Amy Vest on June 20, 1986. Jerry was a mechanic for Neosho County Road and Bridge for many many years retiring in 2008. He was a member of the American Legion Post 170 of Chanute, KS. He enjoyed tinkering and piddling around the house and always keeping the vehicles spotless, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Jerry is survived by his wife Amy of the home, two children; Kathi Yokum of Humboldt, KS, Richard and wife Missouri of Hampton, VA, four siblings; Janice (Dennis) Baker of Humboldt, KS, Rita Butler of Topeka, KS, Anita Gilbert of Springdale AR, and Evert Ludlum of Chanute, KS. grandchildren; Logan and girlfriend Hayden, Briana and Fiancé Glenn, Luke, Maddox, Brooke and Sawyer, and one great granddaughter, Ember.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Steven.
Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Post 170 of Chanute, KS, and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
Cremation has been requested with a private family memorial service to be held at a later date.
