JERRY LEE CLARKJerry L. Clark, 73, of Cherryvale passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Cherryvale Nursing and Rehab Center in Cherryvale.Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, January 6, 2013 at New Life Praise and Worship Church, 308 N. Liberty, Cherryvale, Kansas with David Cavaness, officiating.Friends may sign the register book from 12noon until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas with the family receiving friends from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M." Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Cherryvale Kansas.Memorial remembrances are suggested to KU Colon Cancer Research or Jerry Clark Scholarship and they may be left at or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home.Jerry Lee Clark was born April 14, 1940 in Erie, Kansas the son of Arthur Lee Clark and Betty Lee (Irey) Clark." He grew up in Erie and graduated from Erie High School in 1958 and attended Parsons Junior College and played basketball.He loved to hunt pheasant, farming, was an avid KU basketball fan and a history buff especially anything having to do with Adolf Hitler.On April 12, 1986 at the Cherryvale United Methodist Church he was united in marriage to Phyllis L. Reilly - McClaren and she survives at the home.Jerry worked for Day Zimmerman Inc. in Parsons, Kansas as a Production Operator for 17 years." He also farmed on the family farm in Erie.Survivors include wife Phyllis of the home, children, Jeff Clark of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kelly Clark of Claremore, Oklahoma, Jennifer Clark of Cherryvale, Kansas, step children, Amanda Miller and Nicole Johnson both of Cherryvale, Kansas, 4 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Lee Clark, mother, Betty Lee Clarke, step father, George N. Clarke and brother, Stanley Lynn Clark.
