JEAN MARIE GREENAWALTJean M. Greenawalt, 57, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Independence.Jean Marie Greenawalt was born May 27, 1957 in Lawton, Oklahoma the daughter of Joe and Charlotte Ann (McWhirt) Marchant. She grew up in Cherryvale and graduated from Cherryvale high School in 1975.On June 21, 1975 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Cherryvale she was united in marriage to Chuck Greenawalt.Jean loved to read, Nascar and was a warm person who was smiling all the time.She worked for City Publishing in Independence for 21 years until its closing and later worked for Jim Gill Agency until ill health forced her to retire.Jean was a past member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.Survivors include husband, Chuck of the home, mother, Charlotte Ann Marchant of Cherryvale, KS, two daughters, Dawn Cannon and Mandy Cranford, of Cherryvale, KS, brother, Mike Marchant of Cherryvale, KS, sister, Laurie Konz of Hays, KS and six grandchildren.Celebration of Life Memorial services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Wickham Family Funeral Home of Cherryvale, 216 East 4th Street. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.Memorial remembrances are suggested to the American Cancer society and may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
