JAMES KYLE SHRUMJames "Kyle" Shrum, 67, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at his home." He had been in failing health.Cremation has taken place under the direction of Wickham Family Funeral Home of Cherryvale." Celebration of Life memorial services will be held at a later date.James Kyle Shrum was born June 4, 1946 in Springdale, Arkansas the son of Walter Shrum and Eva Mae (Glen) Shrum." He grew up and attended schools in the Springdale, Arkansas area.Kyle was a welder most of his adult life in Tulsa, Oklahoma until ill health forced him to retire." He moved to Cherryvale four years ago to be closer to his brother Dale who helped provide for his care." He loved to fish and watch old movies especially westerns.Survivors include, two sons, Jason and Alan Shrum of Springdale, AR., one daughter, Regina Shrum of Springdale, AR., three sisters, Letha Cannon of Coffeyville, KS, Ruby Hought of Reeds Spring, MO, Carolyn Williams of Springdale, AR, two brothers, Ronald Dale Shrum of Cherryvale, KS, Rendall Shrum of Springdale, AR, several grandchildren and one great grandson.He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dennis and Ralph Shrum and infant daughter Kimberly Shrum.
