Jackie Fred Goodwin

Jackie F. Goodwin, 91 of rural Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at his home.
Jackie Fred Goodwin was born February 9, 1928 in Carmen, Oklahoma the son of Raymond Goodwin and Avis (Mott) Goodwin. He grew up in Cherryvale and attended Cherryvale Schools.
He worked as an Ironworker in good standing with the Local #111 Union in Rock Island, Illinois. He retired in 1982 and moved back to Cherryvale.
On March of 1947 he was united in marriage to Virginia Holestine and she preceded him in death. He later married Elizabeth Jane Harryman in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and she survives at the home.
Jackie enjoyed shooting guns, hunting and attending the First Southern Baptist Church in Cherryvale.
Survivors include his children, Wayne Goodwin (Julie) of Davenport, Iowa, Tom Goodwin (Linda) od Eldridge, Iowa, Kathy Anderson of Cherryvale, Kansas, step-children, Laurie Rigsby (David) of Highland Village, Texas, Janet Matetich (Rick) of Austin, Texas, Mark Listen of Austin, Texas, Pamela Shapiro (Tommy) of Moorehead City, North Carolina and several grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces, nephews and couisins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Goodwin.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, December 27, 2019 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335. The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until service time.
Interment will follow the services at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.
