Ivan Junior Robinson

Ivan Junior Robinson, 86, a longtime resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Monday, August 31, 2015 at Medicalodge of Pittsburg, Kansas. He was born August 5, 1929 in Buffalo, Kansas, the son of Jessie Ivan and Lottie Irene (Read) Robinson. Ivan worked at Archer Daniels Midland in Fredonia for 30 years, retiring in 1990. On June 7, 1953 in Yates Center, Kansas, Ivan was united in marriage to Carlyn Jane Jones. She survives. Ivan was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Fredonia. In addition to his wife, Carlyn, he is survived by: Four children: Cheryl Robinson of Pittsburg, KS Brenda Roberts (Doug) of Pittsburg, KS Karla Wadewitz of Ottawa, KS Julie Robinson of Augusta, KS Seven siblings: Floyd Robinson of Norfolk, VA Raymond Robinson of Neosho Falls, KS Frank Robinson of California Lottie Harmon of Fredonia, KS Bessie Joy of Newton, KS Lois Heidi (David) of Oklahoma City, OK Laurine James (Joe) of Oklahoma City, OK 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marlene Connelly; granddaughter, Nicole Jane Robinson; and brothers, Carl Robinson and John Robinson. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Bible Baptist Church in Fredonia with Pastor Nathan Brock officiating. Burial will be in the Yates Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3, 2015, 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Timmons Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in Ivan"s name with the Bible Baptist Church and contributions can be sent to or left at the funeral home.
