Helen M. Morris, 93, a lifelong resident of Wilson county, died peacefully at her home on Friday, October 11, 2019. She was born in Fredonia, Ks. the daughter of Lillian and Jim Culbertson. She was a domestic engineer having worked in the home and in the fields all her life.

On March 8, 1945 in Fredonia, Helen was united in marriage to Everett Elwood Morris. They celebrated 67 wonderful years of marriage.

Helen was a very faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fredonia. She especially loved listening to special music.

Helen loved fishing in her ponds and gardening.

Helen is survived by her son, Dr. Terry Morris & his wife Judy, Fredonia; her daughter Peggy Ogle & husband Dennis, Fredonia; a brother, Jimmy Max Culbertson, and sister, Shirley Freeman; seven grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren.

Helen’s parents Jim & Lillian Culbertson; brother, Glen Culbertson; sisters Hila Claus, Linda Millar, Lillie Hoyt and Jackie Leon Culbertson preceded her in death.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, October 15 at Wickham’s funeral home with Pastor Francois Erasmus of the Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Fredonia Cemetery immediately following the service.

A memorial has been established in Helen’s name with the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Fredonia Hometown Health Care or Fredonia Regional Hospital Foundation and can be sent to or left at Wickham Funeral Home. Words of condolence for the family can be left at www.wickhamfamilyfuneralhome.com.
