HAROLD FRANCIS REILLYHarold F. Reilly, 91, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Independence, Kansas.Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Andrew Heiman, celebrant." Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church." Friends may sign the register book from 12 Noon until 5:00 P.M. Monday at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th Street, Cherryvale, Kansas." Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M at the Church.Memorial remembrances are suggested to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or American Heart Association and they may be left or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home.Harold Francis Reilly was born March 14, 1922 in Emmett, Kansas the son of Michael L. Reilly and Victoria Marie (Hrenchir) Reilly." He grew up and attended Emmett schools and left school early to help work on the family farm.On March 24, 1955 in Independence, Kansas he was united in marriage to Frances Evelyn Van Cleave Whetstine and she preceded him in death February 21, 2008.He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and member of the Cherryvale Elks Lodge.Harold worked many jobs in his 91 years, working in heavy construction, Cherryvale Water Department, Cherryvale Police Department, Lee Wald Manufacturing, Vallis Wngroff, H.D. Lee Garment factory, retired from Gragg Manufacturing Company and helped Senior Services Meals on Wheels for 17 years.Survivors include one son Phillip W. Reilly and wife Debbie of Cherryvale, one daughter, Phyllis L."Clark and late husband Jerry of Cherryvale, one step daughter, Linda L. Stockton and husband Larry of Independence, KS, one step son, Stephen N. Whetstine and wife Lauralee of Wichita, KS, two brothers, James Kenneth Reilly of Topeka, KS, John Reilly of Del City, OK, two sisters, Romona Arp and Bonnie Konrade both of Topeka, KS, six granddaughters, five step grandchildren, five great grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, Mike, Marty and Edward Reilly, two sisters, Rita Young and Therese Reilly.
