Georgia Pearl Reno

Georgia Pearl Reno, 86, a longtime resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Golden Living Center in Neodesha, Kansas. She was born June 9, 1921 in Coyville, the daughter of Charlie and Ethel (Sherlock) Keeler. On January 6, 1941 in Neosho, Missouri, she married Curtis E. "Gene" Reno. He survives at their home. Mrs. Reno worked several jobs in the Fredonia area, including assisting her husband with local freight delivery. She also worked for Burke-Midwestern Litho followed by the Kansas Bank Note Company, where she retired after more than 20 years. Survivors, in addition to her husband, Gene, include: Two Daughters: Judith Ann Sanborn of Wichita, KS Karen Troutman of Independence, KS One Sister: Alta Runyan of Winfield, KS 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; five sisters; and one son, Kenneth Eugene Reno. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at the Coyville Cemetery with Pastor Jeremiah Baird of the Bible Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, 2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Alzheimer"s Foundation and those may be sent to the funeral home. Family condolences may be sent to www.timmonsfuneralhome.com.
